Madiera beach John's Pass Florida

Author: Cheryl Delano
Date of Trip: January 2013

Between Clearwater and Ft Meyers beach there is Madiera. One of the friendliest beach areas on the Gulf. On the gulf side the condos rent pricey but across the street there are fine little motels at half the rates. Its a bustling area with restaurants dotting the coastal road. Although you are on the beach every kind of store is only minutes away. Most you can walk to. With Treasure Island south and Clearwater north, the best place to just be on vacation is JOHN'S PASS. There are so many little shops and unique items it will take you days to wander through them. There are so many treasures to find there. Its almost vacation overload. Then when you think you have seen all there is to see, ahead is the waterfront boardwalk with more and more.

The best show besides the sunset is when the charter fishing boats come in and every bird of Florida no longer cares that humans are inches from them as they await a free dinner as the fishermen clean their days catch. Bring a good camera. Its amazing! The choice of food is endless. Music, entertainment, Bubba Gump shrimp and the best ice cream parlor in Florida! Dont be surprized if that serenade you hear turns out to be a large parrot who works for crackers!

If you want the best of both worlds for a Beach vacation...make it Madiera beach. The choices of quiet sand and sunsets or shop till you drop just cant be found like this many other places. Everything is just perfect but your empty wallet.
