Ktefa, Morocco

It's only fitting that we end this slideshow with a dessert! Like most countries, Morocco has a sweet tooth. Traditional sweets here usually include almonds and honey with scents of orange. Ktefa follows suit. Crispy warqua pastry is layered with sweetened almonds and a milk or custard sauce, called creme anglaise. Not only does it taste good, but it smells delicious too. Ktefa is scented with orange flower water.
