Las Vegas

m&m's worldLas Vegas is home to a full range of shopping opportunities, from vintage clothing to exotic cars. All the usual outlet, mall and designer shops abound, but Vegas has a lot to offer that you won't see elsewhere -- so it's worth spending some time to seek out the things you can't find at home.

In the heart of gambling America, how could visitors not check out Gambler's Book Shop? The store stocks just about everything ever written about gambling and is open Monday through Saturday.

For a taste of local music, check out the dedicated local band section at Zia Records. You might even catch a home-town act doing a live, in-store performance.

Or take home a little of the magic of a different kind of performance. At Houdini's Magic Shop, which has locations in town at almost every casino-mall, you can stock up on tips, tricks and magic supplies.

Get your sugar fix at M&M's World, where you can buy the chocolates covered in colors you can't find anywhere else.

Don't forget to stop in the Gambler's General Store. Pick up poker chips, used decks of cards from various casinos (oddly repackaged by state prison inmates), or that vintage slot machine you need to complete your game room.

If you're a fan of the History Channel's "Pawn Stars," you'll want to check out the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. It's located Downtown on South Las Vegas Boulevard, a short walk from the Fremont Street promenade.
