Parador de Carmona

Calle Alcazar s/n
Spain 41410

This 14th-century Moorish fortress, the former castle of King Dom Pedro, provides an abundance of Moorish arches, carved wood and hanging lanterns. The restaurant serves regional dishes featuring venison, pork and partridge. With its lush decor, peaceful courtyard, great views and picturesque outdoor pool, it may be too easy to forget to venture into the village of Carmona. That would mean missing out on historic Carthaginian, Roman and Moorish architecture and ruins.
