Explore. Experience. Engage.

Like the rest of the city, hotels in Athens got quite a boost in the run-up to the 2004 Olympic Games. Many older hotels were renovated during this period, while stylish new hotels sprang up around the city. There's now a wonderful range of accommodations here, from grand old luxury hotels to intimate B&B's. Summer is high season, and advance reservations are highly recommended. Luckily for budget travelers, Athens is still quite affordable when compared to other European capital cities, and it's not hard to find a good room at a reasonable rate.
