Hiiragiya

277 Nakahakusancho, Huyacho Anekoji-agaru, Nakagyo-ku
Kyoto Japan 604-8094

Hiiragiya is a traditional Japanese family inn -- or ryokan -- that was established nearly 200 years ago, and has been the chosen lodging of many notable figures including politicians, a Nobel Prize winner, a number of authors and even members of the imperial family. While all of the ryokan has been updated with modern amenities, there are also a handful of Western-style rooms that offer a more contemporary experience. Rates include daily Japanese breakfast and dinner.
